I am currently a PhD Candidate in the Kerby lab at the University of South Dakota. My research interests are broad but generally include host-microbiome interactions and the processes which mediate these interactions. I am especially interested in the role of host-microbiome interactions in the context of host disease. My dissertation research is focused on the amphibian-microbiome-Bd disease system which has proven to be an excellent system for asking questions related to host-microbiome interactions in the context of disease. I intend to use this work, along with new projects in novel systems, in continuing a career in this exciting area of work.
