I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Walther-Antonio lab at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. My research interests are broad but generally include host-microbiota interactions and the processes which mediate these interactions. I am especially interested in the role of host-microbiota interactions in the context of host disease. My dissertation research focused on the amphibian-microbiota-Bd disease system which proved to be an excellent system for asking questions related to host-microbiota interactions in the context of disease. My current work has shifted from amphibians to humans and I am now examining host-microbiota interactions which may prove important in understanding human health and disease.
